    Prism practitioners specialize in working with folks who want to address anxiety, depression, major mood disorders, life transitions, self-esteem , stress management, and trauma. Our approach blends strengths-based perspectives with attachment theory, experiential therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialect Behavioral Therapy, narrative techniques, and somatic experiencing to create a therapeutic experience that is totally unique to you.

    Couple’s Counseling Services – 60 or 90 minutes

    Each of Prism’s therapists take a unique approach to couple’s counseling; however, their styles tend to marry Emotionally Focused Therapy (which focuses on attachment and bonding) with somatic experiencing, person-in-environment, and psychoeducation around healthy relationships to create a space in which each partner learns to focus on and regulate themselves as well as to attune to the needs of the other. Couples will often practice nonviolent communication, role play, and healthy boundary setting during session.

    Prism therapists enjoy working with couples that are ethically non-monogamous or who are part of the kink community.

    Family Therapy Services – 60 or 90 minutes

    Prism therapists utilize many different frameworks for family therapy including Family Structural Therapy, Transgenerational Therapy, and narrative techniques to analyze and address the various dynamics and relationships within a family system. Additionally, Prism therapists stress safety and equity for everyone in the room and often assign specific homework to each individual based on the opportunities for growth that person may have.
