Single-Session Therapy
Sometimes, You Just Need One Conversation to Get Unstuck
Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes you don’t need long-term therapy—you just need one focused, powerful conversation to help you move forward. Single Session Therapy (SST) is designed for exactly that.
Whether you’re grappling with a tough decision, navigating stress, or feeling stuck in a pattern you can’t break, SST offers a fast, solution-oriented approach to help you gain clarity and take meaningful action—without the commitment of ongoing sessions.
How It Works
SST is not about rushing through deep work or applying quick-fix advice. Instead, it’s a structured, efficient process that helps you:
✔ Clarify what’s really going on – We’ll identify the core of the issue so we’re working on what actually matters.
✔ Identify your strengths and resources – You already have skills and wisdom—let’s use them.
✔ Develop a personalized action plan – Walk away with concrete steps you can apply immediately.
For many people, one session is enough to spark real change—but if you decide you want more support, you can always schedule additional sessions.
Is Single Session Therapy Right for You?
SST is designed for people who:
✅ Need help navigating a specific challenge (e.g., making a big decision, managing stress, handling a conflict)
✅ Want immediate, focused support without committing to ongoing therapy
✅ Have a busy schedule and need a flexible, effective option
✅ Prefer practical strategies and a clear action plan over long-term exploration
SST isn’t ideal for people looking to work through complex trauma, deep emotional wounds, or ongoing mental health concerns—those are best suited for ongoing therapy.
Session Length & What to Expect
You can choose the session length that works best for your needs:
60-Minute Session – Focused and efficient; ideal for addressing a single issue with actionable takeaways. (Insurance covers this option if applicable.)
90-Minute Session – Gives more space for deeper exploration and strategic planning; best for more complex concerns or those wanting extra time. (Private pay only, as insurance does not cover this length.)
Before your session, you’ll complete a short pre-session questionnaire to help us hit the ground running. During the session, we’ll get straight to the heart of the issue, work through possible solutions, and create a personalized plan to help you move forward.
What Happens After?
Many clients find that a single session provides the clarity and momentum they need to move forward. If you ever feel like you need a follow-up, you can schedule another session whenever it makes sense for you—no pressure, no obligation.
Single Session Therapy FAQ
1. What is Single Session Therapy (SST)?
SST is a one-time, solution-focused therapy session designed to help you work through a specific issue in a single meeting. It’s about providing immediate support, clarity, and practical next steps rather than ongoing therapy.
2. Who is SST best for?
SST is ideal for people who need support with:
Decision-making
Navigating a stressful situation
Processing a difficult conversation or event
Managing emotions in a specific context
Exploring options for a next step
It’s not designed for processing deep trauma or ongoing mental health struggles—those are best suited for long-term therapy.

Traditional therapy is designed for long-term growth and exploration, while SST is a one-time, goal-oriented session meant to address an immediate challenge.

✔ Define the issue you want to address

5. Do I need to prepare for the session?
Yes! You’ll complete a brief pre-session questionnaire to maximize our time together.
