Supervision
Interested in pursuing your LCSW and looking for a supervisor who fits your professional goals and interests? Read on to learn more about Max Casero’s supervisory experience and methods.
Hello! I’m Max – the owner of Prism Integrated Health and a human who loves to provide clinical supervision!
I hold an MSW from the University of Michigan School of Social Work, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor in the state of Texas. I have been in private practice since 2016 and have been practicing in the social work field since 2013; before going into private practice, I spent the majority of my career working in school social work and in foster care and running my private practice on the side. I have supervised BSW and MSSW interns, AmeriCorps members, case workers, and direct care workers; I also have provided numerous trainings at the University of Texas School of Social Work.
My experiences as a white queer person working predominantly in communities of color have impacted my practice and professional growth such that I approach supervision, clinical practice, and social work predominantly from an intersectional feminist lens. Therapeutically, I draw from many frameworks as I believe that every client has the right to a completely personalized therapeutic experience. The frameworks I reference most include attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, somatic experiencing, experiential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and play therapy. My client base tends to include lots of folks on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, clients wanting to work on developing coping skills for mood disorders, and individuals who are neurodivergent. I also do lots of work around family conflict, stress management, life transitions, managing relationships, positive communication, and life skill development. Given that I am a generalist practitioner, I believe I have a responsibility to always pursue professional development opportunities applicable the many populations and topics, I am excited to share what I learn with you.
Further, I believe that I have lots to learn from supervisees and view supervision as part of my continued professional growth. I view supervision as a mentoring/teaching/consulting partnership that facilitates an equitable exchange of information and ideas between me as your supervisor and you as my supervisee. This is a place where we both learn and share.
My rates for clinical supervision are as follows:
Individual supervision: $125 per hour
Group supervision: $75 per hour
